Description:
In the west wall of the peristyle was an arched niche, which sat 1.30m above ground. The interior of the niche was decorated with painted flowers. Flanking the niche were the Lares, holding rhyta and situlae. Below, a single serpent was painted moving towards an altar. As seen in historic photographs, the base of the niche projected. The shrine no longer survives.
